Greyton Trip 11 November 2001 We left the V&A Waterfront a little after 09:30 and headed out to the Winelands Engen garage to meet up with the guys from the Northern Suburbs. All in all we had 41 bikes on the ride. The weather was hovering around 30 degrees Celsius with no clouds at all - one of the best days this year!! Winelands Stop Next stop was Franschhoek at the old railway station-turned-restaurant for an ice cold beer (or two)
After that a run across to Greyton to have lunch at the Greyton Lodge. Picture with bikes in front lining the gravel road. The Greyton Lodge has a lot of British memorabilia in the bar and sports a "talking fish!" Stunning green garden where we had lunch at the Lodge. More shots of the garden, but the colourful roses did not come out so well in this shot. By the time we finished lunch it was already nearly 15:00 so I shot back to Cape Town on my own to arrive back at 16:00, a little burnt by the heat, but refreshed from the ride....
