Mobile Telephone Networks "The Better Connection" No, this is not the same as the others. This was, and still is, a good experience!! This is one of the two cellular network providers in South Africa. Unlike the other main competitor who has its roots in the State, this company is privately owned. As their slogan says, you get a better connection. My wife, my mother and various colleagues are connected with the competition and I have noticed on quite a few occasions that their line quality is not so good, and that they have dropped calls every now and again (that's why the competition has a special reconnect number). I cannot remember when I last had any connection problems with MTN. To top the quality of the signal, their service is probably even better. Their operators are fast to answer, but do not cut you short on the call. I have even received extra parting advice when calling in. The extra options that they provide for legal assistance, tax assistance, emergencies, one call, short message service, etc have got to be seen to be believed. I was very impressed with the technical knowledge of the operators, they are not just telephonists! Personally I would say that MTN is synonymous with quality service all round.
